FORT opens Caistor youth centre

FORT (Foundation of Resources for Teens) officially opened it new youth centre in the Caistor Community Centre Thursday evening.

FORT in Caistor CentreOfficials on hand for the ceremonial ribbon cutting were: holding the ribbon (L to R) Grimsby programmer Liz Bond, resource developer David Vandersteen, Caistor programmer Melissa Wolfrath, West Lincoln developer Beth Shaw, Coun. Lou DiLeonardo, board member Jo-Ann Senkalowski, Mayor Doug Joyner, MP Dean Allison, Tim Hudak representative Sarah Whitaker, board chair Craig Bivand, board member Michelle Dellaire, Coun. John Glazier, and Smithville programmer Lauren Bisnett.

Others in the photo are some of the area youths who participate in the many FORT programs.

Programs run after school from 3:30-5:30 for Grades 6-8 and 5:30-9 for high school students in our Caistor, Smithville, and Grimsby centers, and that they are FREE of charge for anyone interested in attending, said FORT coordinator David Versteen.
