Grimsby’s Dave Finch bows out

Grimsby’s Dave Finch has withdrawn his nomination papers and will not run for another term as a Ward 3 alderman.

“I will not be running for Ward 3 Alderman in Grimsby. I have withdrawn my nomination papers today,” said Finch.

“In the past three years I have had some serious health issues to deal with and once again I am dealing with a health issue. I do not have the energy to run a campaign and also have somehow lost the spark that drove me to run for council.”

Finch said he may return, however.

“I may return in the next election but for now I am focusing on my health and I truly wish to thank those who have supported me over the years I spent on council.”
